IntACT relies on Copernicus’ association management services

Copernicus.org has signed a framework contract with the International Association of Computed Tomography (IntACT) on membership administration and conference organization.

This new agreement allows IntACT to assure membership fee collection through secure payment by credit card, electronic election of its council through Copernicus Office tools, and support with its biannual International Conference on Tomography of Materials and Structures (ICTMS).

IntACT is a new international learned society founded as a non-profit organization in 2014. Its aim is to facilitate and promote scientific knowledge and cooperation in the field of computed tomography in the non-medical world. IntACT wants to foster the application of computed tomography in the broadest context possible.

“We have been thinking about a solution to the question: how can we guarantee the continuity of IntACT’s administrative tasks over the coming years even though we have changing councils?” says IntACT President Dominique Bernard. “That is why we have chosen Copernicus as our partner to continuously provide databases, online tools, and personal assistance to our members,” explains IntACT General Secretary Patric Jacobs.

“This is a great example of how our combination of the three-segment society management, conference organization, and open-access publishing is of benefit to scientific associations,” says Martin Rasmussen, Managing Director of Copernicus.org. “We have worked with our service portfolio since 1988, and we look forward to seeing this exciting young society prosper and grow.”
