Institutional agreement between Gothenburg University Library and Copernicus Publications

01 June 2020

Gothenburg University Library and Copernicus Publications have signed an agreement on the central billing of article processing charges (APCs) to facilitate the publication procedure for authors.

As of 1 June 2020, submissions from authors of the University of Gothenburg will benefit from the agreement. The only requirement is that the corresponding author must be affiliated to the university and indicate this during the manuscript registration process through the selection of "University of Gothenburg" from a drop-down list. After publication, the financial settlement will then be handled between Copernicus Publications and Gothenburg University Library without involving the author.

"We are extremely happy to enter such an agreement with another Swedish institution. Our experiences with many other institutions, including Stockholm University Library, show that both authors and institutions benefit from this method of streamlining the publication and payment process," says Martin Rasmussen, Managing Director of Copernicus Publications.
