Employer branding is not just a marketing term but a tool that helps us to constantly reflect and improve our working environment. We know that Copernicans are the nuts and bolts of our company. We strive for long-term partnerships – with our clients and our employees. This is why we participated in the local TOPAS initiative for top employers in Lower Saxony.

We are a thriving company with more than 50 employees, set in the lovely town of Göttingen in the south of Lower Saxony. Many small- and medium-sized companies are the backbone of this area. It is not only those companies we are competing with in our search for the best employees; we have staff members from all over the world. We are especially interested in attracting and holding onto individuals who are keen on sharing their talents and their dedication to finding the best solution for the benefit of our authors, editors, referees, and conference participants and organizers.

In addition to providing rewarding jobs with interesting projects and an optimal infrastructure, we offer numerous employee benefits, social activities and support the fitness needs of our staff members. In October 2015, we came in second place in a local company health management competition.

The TOPAS initiative certifies these efforts by awarding the TOPAS seal. Since 2013, we have regularly participated in TOPAS workshops focusing on employer branding as well as finding and integrating new employees. Following our first certification in 2013, we are proud to be certified again as a top employer for the period 2015–2017.

This achievement inspires us to continue our efforts in making the Copernicus working environment a pleasant one. We thank all Copernicans for being part of this every day.
