6th Plinius Conference on Mediterranean Storms

Options for Compilation & Submission

Participants who wish to give a presentation (oral or poster) must submit an Abstract in the style, layout and format and in accordance to one of the options described below. We recommend that the actual text of the abstract is carefully compiled and thoroughly checked,  in particular with regard to the list of authors, before submission in order to avoid last minute changes.
The submission of an abstract carries with it the obligation that it is actually presented at the Meeting/Conference by the author or, at least, by one of the co-authors!

Online ASCII or LaTeX

Authors using plain ASCII or standard LaTeX should compile their abstract either directly on the form or by "drag-and-drop" of their text compiled on their computer into the form. If authors are using the previous "Sample LaTeX file for submitting abstracts for meetings sponsored by the Copernicus Society" they should "cut-and-paste" only the part from \ begin{document} to \ end{document} into the actual text-box. Abstracts written with any other software can be transferred into ASCII first and then included in the text boxes. Netscape Browsers may encounter problems in "cut-and-paste" procedures. Authors can then pre-view their abstract properly layouted and  formatted automatically by the server before submission.

WORD compatible Upload

Authors using a WORD compatible software must first compile their abstract in the standard style, layout and format on their own computer and then use the Abstract Upload Form for submitting their abstract. The EGU Office will format the abstract and transfer it into PDF.

Free Style Emailing/Hard Copy Mailing

Authors may submit their abstract and submittal information in the standard style, layout and format by email to egu.abstracts@copernicus.org, where the abstracts are properly formatted and transferred into PDF. Please, no attachments!
Authors who wish to submit their abstract in a hard copy, camera-ready version should typeset their abstract in the standard style, layout and format, use white paper and a laser printer of 300 dpi and better, complete their submittal information in accordance to the standard layout, and then mail the abstract and the submittal information sheet, well in advance of the deadline, to the EGU Office, c/o PLC6, Max-Planck-Str. 13, 37191 Katlenburg-Lindau, Germany. Here the abstracts will be transferred into digital format and into PDF.

Always check the length and format of your abstract before submitting it and use Times Roman - 10 points and line spacing 1 for options 2 and 3 (Hard copy Mailing)!

Faxes will not be processed!

Team Form

In case a presentation has more than 10 authors, we advise the contact author to use the name of the presenting author plus an abbreviation of the team of co-authors, e.g. A. Aman and/ for the COSIS TEAM, and submit the name of the team and the list of the co-authors of that team separately. These team forms are included in all online abstract submission forms (options 1 and 2); else the team form is included in the "style, layout and format" chapter.

Acknowledgement

Authors whose abstract has been received and successfully processed will receive an acknowledgement regarding the receipt and status of their contribution as well as its ID-NR for future updating/correction or withdrawal, respectively. Moreover, the receipt is also announced on the corresponding index cards of the authors of the COSIS Administration Tool.

Abstracts will be listed under "Contributions" (for Programme Committee Members only) and, once accepted for presentation, under  "Oral/Poster Programme" (for the public). The submission is also recorded in the author's Personal Record Cards of the COSIS Administration System.

Please, select your option for submitting, updating or withdrawing your abstract. To use the ASCII/LaTeX or WORD compatible Online Form you need to specify the Number and the Last Name of one of the Conveners of the Session to which you intent to submit your abstract.
