Aims and ScopeAdvances in Geosciences is an international, interdisciplinary journal for fast publication of collections of short, but self-contained communications in the Earth, planetary and solar system sciences, published in seperate volumes by the European Geosciences Union on WWW with the option of a publication on paper (print-on-demand) and on CD-ROM. The collections may include papers presented at scientific meetings (proceedings) or articles on a well defined topic compiled by individual editors or organizations (special publications).
The evaluation of the manuscript is organized by Guest-Editors, i.e. either by the conveners of a session of a conference or by the organizers of a meeting or workshop or by editors appointed otherwise, and their chosen referees (Review Process). The production of articles accepted for publication, however, is performed by the EGU Production Office (Production Process). Therefore, the publication/service charges will only include the charges for the production of an article and its upload onto the Web site of the journal, while the evaluation is free of charges. It is recommended that the publication charges are part of the registration fees or that the event/special publication organizers find financial support by third sides. Details are summarized in the General Guidelines.
The minimum single-order of an issue must be 20 samples. After receipt of the final-order the issue will be prepared for print and sent out after payment is received. Please contact the EGU Production Office for a cost estimation.
Advances in Geosciences (ADGEO) is published by the Copernicus GmbH (Copernicus Publications) on behalf of the European Geosciences Union (EGU).
