Lecture Rooms
Oral presentations are organized in Oral Sessions scheduled in specific lecture rooms given in the programme together with the time of presentation of each contribution (start time).
Each lecture room is equipped with one overhead, one slide and one PC/Video projector, spare transparencies with markers/felt pens, a speaker's desk and one large screen or two separate screens to allow for double projection at any time.
Additional technical equipment, such as a second overhead projector can be requested from the technician only in very urgent cases!
One projectionist will be present in each lecture room. He/she will accept and show the slides and help the chairperson and the speakers.
In general, 15 min. are reserved for contributed and 30 min. for solicited papers, including discussions and change over.
PC/MAC Demonstration
All lecture rooms are equipped with a PC/Video projector (beamer). Authors must bring, install and test their own computer (Laptop/MAC) and software before the beginning of their respective session. There are 4-6 independent Laptop/MAC stations (power and monitor cables) per lecture room, which can be switched to the beamer one after another just before the actual presentation starts. In general, the Laptops/MACs must be installed in the order of presentation in the session. The Computers have to be removed only after the session has ended.
For simple PowerPoint presentations there are also Desktops available so that authors have to bring just their own CD-ROM. Please, contact the projectionist in your lecture room well before the session starts for installing the computer and testing your presentation.
Slides
Speakers intending to show slides during their presentation, must request a slide projector together with the submission of their abstract and they must deliver their slides clearly marked (name, sequence number and thumb mark) to the corresponding projectionist well before the beginning of the respective session.
All slides will be projected by special slide projectors from the back of each lecture room. Speakers should therefore prepare their slides accordingly.
Additional Poster or Video Presentation
Authors are invited to extend/support their oral contributions by presenting, in addition, a poster and/or a video demonstration. Corresponding papers will be scheduled accordingly in the Poster Sessions in the conference programme. Authors should include an appropriate notice in the submittal information of their abstract and contact the Guidelines for Poster Presentations.
Oral Summary of Poster Papers
Conveners may ask authors of (certain) poster papers of their Session to provide a short, 2-5 min. summary of their contribution during their Oral Session (1-2 transparencies). Corresponding papers will be scheduled in the oral and poster programms, respectively.
