Guidelines for Programme Committee (PC) Members

The Programme Committee defines the overall time schedule of the meeting/conference by taking the conference hours and the overall allocation of lecture rooms and poster areas into account. Considering then the individual organization of each Session/Event of each part of the programme by the respective Session Convener/Event Organizer, it is the task of the Programme Committee Members:

1. to finalize also those Session/Events of their appropriate programme which have not yet been organized by the respective Session Convener/Event Organizers; this may include the cancellation of smaller sessions by transfer of papers to already organized sessions.

2. to arrange the schedule of the oral sessions, first of all, in view of their own programme and then also in view of the schedules of the other parts of the overall meeting programme, in order to make max. use of the allocation of lecture rooms, but to minimize overlaps with sessions of similar interest. Thereby, it will be necessary to re-organize the one or the other session by decreasing/increasing the number of oral presentations in order to fit sessions in fixed time slots.

Under all circumstances, the Programme Committee has the right to overrule the decisions of the individual Conveners/Organizers. In general, however, papers not scheduled by their corresponding Organizers and then transferred  by the Programme Committee to sessions  already organized by their Conveners, should not receive an exceptional "oral status"!

To accomplish their tasks, the Programme Committee Members are kindly asked to go to their respective Programme Part and click "PC Overviews" at the top. The access to these overviews, which contain further detailed descriptions, is reserved for the corresponding Members of the Programme Committee only!
