EGS Art Gallery
At its General Assemblies the EGS organizes exhibitions for either geoscientists making "art" or artists using parts of "geosciences" as subjects for their work. The "Art Gallery" will be located on AGORA 2 (Level 2), HS/G Poster area.
At the General Assembly 2002 the EGS is honored to introduce the paintings of a well know European radioscientist:

André Boischot - The Scientist
As an astronomer at the Paris-Meudon and at the Nancay Radioastronomy Stations, André Boischot was the Head of the decametric radioastronomy group at Meudon-Nancy to study the radioemissions of the magnetosphere of planet Jupiter. He was also a member of the Planetary Radio Astronomy (PRA) team of the NASA Mission VOYAGER to the outer planets, and he was envolved in the VLBI experiment of the Soviet Missions to planet Venus. |

André Boischot - The Artist
He is an artist painting in oil, ink and water-colours. His motifs are landscapes in the Provence and still lifes. He has exhibited his paintings in Paris and Grasse and took part in several group exhibitions. |
