For this session we call for papers which deal with the whole spectrum of shell geochemistry related research: from modern process studies, proxy evaluation and quantification, to reconstructions of paleoenvironment, as well as latest developments w.r.t. genetic fingerprints, for both, planktonic and benthic foraminifera. We envisage to publish the presented papers in a special volume of an international journal or as a book.
