With this symposium we would like to bring people, who try to understand and reconstruct past climate changes within the marine and terrestrial environment, together with climate modelers. We would encourage those who have new ideas, concepts and approaches and expect cross fertilization of the disciplines and scientists. This year, special attention will be given to papers dealing with improvement of stratigraphy.
