OA6. High latitude ocean and sea-ice dynamics:

Event Information

The aim of this session is to present recent results from observational and modelling activities focused on the atmosphere-ice-ocean system of high latitude seas. Contributions reporting on both local processes and large-scale aspects of high latitude oceanography are accepted. Main themes will include (but are not limited to) the general circulation and thermohaline structure (deep and bottom water formation, deep ocean ventilation and their interannual variability), sea-ice dynamics and thermodynamics, and sub-ice shelf processes.
