ST2. Open session on the middle atmosphere:

Event Information

This Open Session will include contributions on all aspects of radiative, chemical, and dynamical processes and their interaction governing the bahaviour of the Earth Middle Atmosphere (up to the lower thermosphere). Topics to be considered enclose experimental, theoretical, and modelling studies dealing with large- and mesoscale dynamics, vertical and horizontal transport, homogeneous and heterogeneous chemistry. A major part of this session will focus on the topic of atmospheric "data assimilation" techniques. Results of analyses of meteorological parameters as well as of chemical constituents will be considered.
