Event Information

This symposium will be focused on models and constraints on sedimentary basin formation and its consequences for vertical motions and basin stratigraphy . The emphasis will be made on the new concepts for polyphase deformation and interplay of the tectonic and surface processes and testing against high quality data sets from basins in intraplate and plate boundary settings. Of particular importance will be the linkage of different spatial and temporal scales as well as the role of neotectonics and interplay of stresses and rheology and new modeling techniques in confrontation with high quality data sets.
