EGS XXV General Assembly, Nice, France, April 2000

How to study the Scientific Programme & to compile your Personal Programme

Please, read this information first (if necessary make a printout) and then proceed as follows:

1. Go "Back" to the previous page "Scientific Programme" and select your field of interest, e.g. "Seismology" or "Oceanography" or "Natural Hazards":
You will then find the programme, Session by Session, of that particular area.

2. Select your Session of interest and choose the "Oral/Poster Programmes" buttons below the title and the list of Conveners of that Session:
You will then find the oral programme or the poster programme of that particular Session, respectively.

3. Study the programme and click the titles of contributions of interest to read the corresponding abstracts:
Then select your favourite contributions by clicking the corresponding boxes next to the author-blocks and by using the buttons "Add to Personal Programme" OR "View Personal Programme" at the end of the programme, respectively. (We recommend to use "Add to Personal Programme" in case your Browser is updated regularly.)

4. In both cases you will find your personal programme with the contribution you have selected:
In order to remove certain contributions, click the corresponding boxes to remove the tick marks and press "Update Personal Programme" afterwards to find the final Personal Programme for print out.

5. If you wish to add contributions from other Sessions, close the window of your personal programme in case you have used "Add to Personal Programme" OR use the Back button of your browser in case you have used "View Personal Programme":
You will return to your Session programme, and by using the Back button of your browser once you will return to the area programme and you start at position 2 OR if you use the Back button of your browser twice you will return to the overview of areas and you start at position 1 of these instructions.

We recommend to take advantage of these new services provided by the European Geophysical Society in order to get acquainted with the Assembly Programme well before the conference starts. Bring your personal programme to the meeting and do not loose time by studying thick programme books!
