OA36. Water balance components of high mountain basins (co-sponsored by HS):
Event Information
A reliable assessment of how much water is available from high mountain source areas is a prerequisite for water resources planning and management. In this symposium contributions are welcome dealing with the analysis of precipitation fields, of measuring and modelling changes in snow and ice storage (glacier mass balance), evaporation and discharge. Besides annual and seasonal values of the water balance components contributions are also appreciated dealing with runoff processes in mountainous regions.
