Publication of Abstracts

EGS General Assemblies

Traditionally all abstracts of contributions submitted to a General Assembly, Topical Conference or Workshop will be included free of charge in the Publication of Abstracts, once they have been accepted by the appropriate Convener(s) or Organizer(s). For EGS General Assemblies this includes also papers of authors who most likely will not be able to participate in the meeting because of financial restrictions.

Moreover, in order to guarantee a wider circulation, the Publication of Abstracts for the EGS General Assemblies is published as part of the Society's journal Geophysical Research Abstracts. In this way it has become an open forum for fast distribution of results of geophysical research on a pan-European, international level.

The Publications of Abstracts / Geophysical Research Abstracts is published on paper, as CD-ROM or on the World Wide Web. When published on paper, the abstracts submitted to a General Assembly are compiled in four separate parts:  

EGS Topical Conferences

It is expected that abstracts of contributions submitted to EGS Topical Conferences are also produced in the EGS style and published in special issues of Geophysical Research Abstracts, if the organizers whish so. Otherwise, they will be included in the Programme Book.
